“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psa. 32:8.
Man is created to be dependent. We can't survive without assistance. However, too many are still confused as to the greatest need of man. If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator; If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist; If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist; If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer; But our greatest need is forgiveness, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, so God sent us a Saviour.
In our daily life we come up against situations that we cannot overcome in our own strength, or with our own wisdom. We need strength and wisdom that comes from above, that comes from beyond. It does not matter what your situation is; the Cross is sufficient. If the Cross is the power of God for salvation, then the Cross is also the power of God for your relationships, your spiritual growth and development, your life’s purpose.
Our greatest need is not popularity or wealth without limit. As important as they may seem, we must choose to live for something greater and deeper. When we embrace God's purpose over our plans, we free ourselves from the pressure of perfection and the disappointment of unmet expectations. Our faith allows us to trust that even if our plans fail, God's purpose will always prevail. Until you yield yourself to embracing and pursuing God's purpose and counsel, you will remain unfulfilled. There is a God sized vacuum in everyman nothing else outside of God can fill it, you must walk in obedience to his words and teaching them you will find your needed peace. Selah!
