The Danger Of Indecision.

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James. 1:8.
Former Us President Ronald Reagan says he learned the need for decision-making early in life. An aunt had taken him to a cobbler to have a pair of shoes made for him. The shoemaker asked young Ronald Reagan, “Do you want a square toe or a round toe?” Reagan was indecisive. So the cobbler said, “Come back in a day or two and let me know what you want.” A few days later the shoemaker saw Reagan on the street and asked what he had decided about the shoes. “I still haven’t made up my mind,” the boy answered.
“Very well,” said the cobbler.
When Reagan received the shoes, he was shocked to see that one shoe had a square toe and the other a round toe.
“Looking at those shoes every day taught me a lesson,” said Reagan years later. “If you don’t make your own decisions, somebody else will make them for you!” Indecision can lead to missed opportunities, increased stress, and even negative impacts on relationships and business. At its core, indecision can be crippling, wasting time and preventing progress. Some believers never like to commit themselves therefore they end up being indecisive. The inability to make decisions can erode your confidence and lead to self-doubt, making it even harder to make future decisions.
God's cure for indecision involves a process of trusting in Him. It's must always start with trusting God, which is the foundation of our faith. You must also seek wisdom through prayer and the deliberate study of scriptures. You are not just studying for head knowledge but to practice whatever scriptures teach you. You must trust God to enable you with a strong and accurate ability to discern. Lack of discernment will alway give birth to indecision. With this in place, you will shift from the mindset of fear and uncertainty to one of faith and confident decision-making, guided by the Holy Spirit and His principles. Selah!
