“I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.” Phile. 1:6.
God has a special pair of shoes just for you, perfectly suited for your own path. You must learn to wear your own shoes and never put on anyone else’s. Walk in your anointing. Wherever He calls you to go, you will love it and you will go. Do not try to copy someone else’s calling. It is very difficult to dance ballet while wearing boots. If He gives you ballet shoes, dance ballet; if He gives you saw, cut down trees, don't dance ballet with saw. He is the One who makes us free to be ourselves, and that freedom has a purpose. Each of us has an authority that is unique to us and also a specific field to harvest.
To reap the harvest, we need to use the authority He gives us. We need to understand who we are. If we want to bear fruit, we will also step out and take the risk of being the people He truly made us to be, even when it does not look the way others expected. The simple truth I have been trying to communicate in this devotional today is that, you must learn how to understand yourself accurately and properly in other to fulfil your destiny. It involves introspection and self-awareness. These actions help you explore your emotions, thoughts, values, and motivations, leading to a deeper understanding of who you are and why you do what you do.
Three things are so important to understanding yourself better. It starts with knowing your passion. What are you passionate about and why? This is the first key that unlocks your potential. Secondly what are your values. As a believer, you can't live for the mundane and pursue the ephemeral, there must be a deeper desire and value for living that involves pleasing the Lord and doing His will only. Finally, you need to know your strengths and your weaknesses. This will enhance your choices and actions. It's my prayer that this helps you discover and become the best God has designed you to be. Selah!
