“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,”; and there was light.” Gen.1:1-3.
A lamp only lights up if the cord is connected properly and plugged into a wall. It cannot plug into itself to serve its proper function. Neither can it disconnect from the source of power and expect to work best. As Christians, we need to be plugged in too. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to fuel and light our works. While someone may feel stuck, hopeless, and headed nowhere, the message of Jesus always changes lives. It doesn’t matter who the person is, where they live, what they’ve done, or what their religious background is: the message of hope is still found in Christ, He is that light that lightens every darkness, you need to be plugged to Him.
The world God created came under immense darkness and gloominess, perhaps you may seem to be surrounded with darkness, emptiness and voidness. The devil is a liar. He tells you that God has forsaken you, and nothing good will happen to you. But notice, the Spirit of God was hovering upon something that was without form and void. God is an ever-present God. He will not give up on you. If you don't give up on yourself and God. Keep your eyes and attention on him, this darkness will give way for His light to shine upon your life and your path.
It's important for you to know that darkness doesn't leave by itself, it will only leave when you put on the light. You can't switch on the light except you are connected continually to the power source. Don't forget that, Just because the Spirit of God was moving over something that was dark and formless did not change anything. Nothing really happened until the word of God was spoken. Then God said, “Let there be light”. That was the connection that changed the equation. The word had to be spoken before life could manifest. The same principle applies to every area of your life where you want God to manifest, speak the accurate word and be the practitioner of the word, your light will shine and darkness will depart forever.
