The Power Of A Positive Attitude.

“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” Phil. 2:5. NLT.
A mother and daughter, trying to make the most of the sales before Christmas, spent the most part of the day shopping. As they went from store to store in the mall, the mom complained about everything: the crowds, the poor quality of the merchandise, the prices, her sore feet. After the mother experienced a particularly difficult interaction with a clerk in one department store they entered, she turned to her daughter and said, “I’m never going back to that store again. Did you see the dirty look that the sales lady gave me?” The daughter answered, “She didn’t give you a dirty look Mom. You had it when you went in! She perhaps only returned it to you, since you came in with it.”
Amazing! There are many things in life we blame on others rather than taking responsibility to correct it ourselves. I have always heard it being said that attitude is everything, more than ever before the older I get, the more convinced I become about this reality. More than any other thing, your attitude determines the kind of life you are going to have. Your attitude determines your victory or defeat, it determines your happiness or sadness. It determines how far you will go in life. Your attitude determines your breakthrough and staying through, it determines your impact on people and life at large. It’s especially important to cultivate and maintain a positive attitude. God is positive. When you are positive, it releases Him to work in your life. Being positive is one aspect God has really helped me with.
You cannot cultivate and maintain a positive attitude by chance, you must be deliberate and intentional about your attitude. If you justify a negative attitude because you are very defensive, you will end up as a stinking, smelly malodorous junkyard wearing perfume. Once the effects of the perfume wanes, the sad reality comes to the fore. Cultivating a positive attitude involves several key principles: practicing gratitude, being more grateful than complaining. Surrounding yourself with positivity, challenging negative thoughts, and making the best of every moment. Additionally, being resilient, setting realistic goals, and engaging in positive self-talk can significantly contribute to maintaining a positive outlook.
