“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” 1 Peter. 4:15-16.
William Carey is considered the father of modern missions. The man who spent his early years as a cobbler became one of the greatest linguists the church has ever known. It’s reported that Carey translated parts of the Bible into as many as 24 Indian languages. When he first went to India, some regarded him with dislike and contempt. At a dinner party a distinguished guest, hoping to humiliate Carey, said in a loud voice, “I suppose, Mr. Carey, you once worked as a shoemaker.” Carey responded humbly, “No, your lordship, I’m yet as big as a shoe maker, I’m only a shoe cobbler. I repair shoes and fix bad souls.” Carey didn’t claim to make shoes, only to mend them. Isn't it prophetic today that used him to fix not just shoes but bad human souls and destiny.
Walking with God and effectively changing lives requires a life of continuous surrender, practical wisdom, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. True ministry and life transformation begin when you yield your desires to God. By presenting your life as a living sacrifice, you allow His Spirit to use you as a vessel for His glory. "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." Rom. 12:1. To change the world around you, your perspective must shift from worldly patterns to divine truths. Meditating on scripture rewires your thinking and gives you the clarity to discern God's will. People are changed by love, not just by words. Serving others with genuine, sincere affection—putting their needs above your own—is a hallmark of a life lived for God.
Wisdom dictates that your words carry the power to build up or tear down. Speaking with grace, truth, and discretion ensures your witness is effective and draws others to Christ. Humility is the foundation of true spiritual authority. When you empty yourself of pride, God grants you the wisdom and grace necessary to effectively minister to others. A clean life is a powerful tool in God's hands. Walking in purity ensures your testimony remains unblemished, allowing you to be an effective minister of reconciliation. Impactful service requires endurance. Do not grow weary in well-doing; stay rooted in the Word, knowing that your labour for God's Kingdom is never in vain. Selah!

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. I come before You today, asking that You keep my heart steadfast and deeply rooted in Your presence. Teach me to abide in You daily. Lord, do not just work in me, work through me. Transform my mind and renew my spirit so that I may be a true change agent in my family, my workplace, and my community and beyond. Grant me the courage to stand for what is right, the wisdom to speak Your truth with grace, and the compassion to uplift those in need in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
