“And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Matt. 7:26:27.

When the very massive and destructive Hurricane Charley slammed into Florida in 2004. The destructive storm travelled with 145 mile per hour winds, it destroyed more than 12,000 homes. The total destruction from the Hurricane was about 15 million dollars. A study by a group of insurance companies found that almost all of those homes that were destroyed had something in common, they had been built prior to 2001. In that year, a strict new building code was adopted which required homes to be strengthened to withstand hurricane force winds. Obviously, there is very, very strong evidence that buildings built under the 2001 building code withstood the storm. Those who were built prior, didn't observe such code therefore was in jeopardy. The same is true for the Word of God.

When we view the Bible and the things it tells us to do or not do as a set of restrictions that limit what we can do, we are tempted to resent the commandments of God. Many people completely abandon any pretense of holiness or godly living because they don’t want to be tied down by rules. Yet when the storm winds blow, those who have not built their lives according to God’s code find themselves facing destruction and ruin. Building according to God’s instructions ensures that what you create—your life, family, or work—has divine permanence, invites His presence, and results in lasting fruitfulness rather than wasted effort. God is the "chief architect" of all creation, and following His divine pattern guarantees that your efforts are built to endure.

Anything built outside of God’s plan is temporary, but following His blueprint ensures the structure lasts. Submitting your "building"—whether it represents your life, ministry, family, or career—to a divine pattern is a central biblical principle emphasizing that God provides the blueprint for lasting success. Following this pattern means aligning with God's ordained structure, order, and purpose rather than relying on human wisdom or carnal strategies. Like the example of Noah’s Ark, following divine dimensions provides safety and longevity. When the tabernacle was built exactly to God’s specifications, the glory of the Lord filled it. Building according to His pattern brings His anointing, presence, and approval upon your life and work. God's instructions (His Word) are the "gateway to life and happiness". Building by His rules allows for maximum potential and ensures that what you build thrives, rather than suffering loss. God never gives instructions without a specific purpose. Following His plan helps you fulfill your personal calling, rather than wasted effort pursuing goals that lack eternal value.

DECLARATION:

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I acknowledge You as the Creator and Architect of all things. Open my eyes to behold wonderful things in Your law, that I may see the pattern You have established for my life. Just as You showed Moses the model on the mountain. I ask for the grace to not build according to my own flawed wisdom or the fleeting patterns of this world, but to adhere strictly to Your divine blueprint in everything and every area of my life in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
