Don't Underestimate The Power Of Your Words.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words." Prov. 18:21.

The Bible says that death and life is in the power of the tongue. You know in the book of James in the New Testament, the writer tells us that if a man can tame his tongue, that he is indeed a mature man, that a sign of Christian maturity is to be able to tame your tongue. In fact, James says the tongue cannot be tamed without the help of the Lord. And that is the key, no man can tame the tongue, only Christ through the Holy Spirit working in us, can control our tongue. It means our tongue has to be surrendered to the government of Christ through His words. This no doubt must take deliberate and conscientious efforts on your side.

The Proverbs are just full of verses that have to do with taming your tongue and the results of what happens when you don't tame your tongue. Sometimes when you speak hastily or when we speak thoughtlessly or even when we speak thoughtfully but we say the wrong thing, they are disastrous results of the tongue. James also tells us that the tongue is like a fire. That it can set things on fire. Meaning that it starts with a little fire but it spreads like a forest fire, a wild fire that is out of control and out of order. You must be deliberate about how you use this tongue.

Our words can enrich our lives, it can also reduce us to rubble, we can be enslaved by poor choice of words. What we say with our mouth is very important. We are created in the image of God and God made the world with words. In fact the Bible says the Word of God framed the worlds. Not only did the Word of God frame the worlds, but also the world consists and continues to exist by the power of the Word of God. We must therefore understand that we can frame our own lives through our own words. Use your mouth well and reap the product of good usage, God bless you.

I speak forth prosperity and increase, I proclaim that nothing is permitted to die or fail within and around me in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
