Follow The Narrow Way To God.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” — Ephe. 2:8-9.

A driver trusted his GPS blindly. It told him to keep driving straight. He assumed the digital map knew best. He drove directly into a deep lake. The road had been closed for years. Sincerity does not always equal accuracy. You can be completely sincere and completely wrong. In 1912, the Titanic sank. Many passengers refused to board early lifeboats. The ship looked massive. It looked completely unsinkable. They assumed staying on board was safer. That assumption proved fatal. To feel safe outside of God's prescription is no doubt a costly assumption. Heaven requires actual rescue, not just feeling secure. 

Making wrong spiritual assumptions can prove costly for every human being, believers alike. Many people think their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds. They believe God grades on a curve. However, salvation is a gift from God, not a reward for good behaviour. Good works are a result of salvation, not the price to earn it. Some people think that acknowledging God or knowing Bible facts is the same as having a saving relationship with Him. The Bible warns that even evil spiritual forces believe God exists, but they do not obey Him. True faith involves surrender and obedience. It is dangerous to delay surrendering to God. People often plan to get serious about their faith when they grow older or face a crisis. Life is fragile and unpredictable, and tomorrow is never promised.

Attending church, giving money, or serving in religious programs does not automatically save a soul. A person can do many religious works outwardly while their heart remains far from God. Some people create an image of God where He ignores sin because of His love. While God is deeply loving, He is also completely holy and just. He cannot let unrepented sin go unpunished. People often hide hidden habits, private dishonesty, or secret thoughts, thinking they have gotten away with them. God sees everything, and nothing remains hidden from His judgment. deal with sin, before it deals with you. Make making heaven your true pursuit. Selah!
