Guard Your Mind.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction.” Gal. 6:7-8.
An old Cherokee grandfather who was amongst the aborigines of North America was teaching his grandson about life. He said, "A fight is going on inside me," he told the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil—he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." His boy looked at him with a sense of deep curiosity, while he continued, "The other is good—he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too." The grandson, now quite lost for words, thought about it and asked, "Which wolf will win?" The grandfather simply replied, "The one you feed."
The human mind is like a garden. If you constantly feed negative thoughts or ungodly values, they will eventually take root and produce destructive habits. Stopping the feed of wrong values and attitudes is essential to protect your character, destiny, and relationship with God. Allowing wrong values into your life quickly compromises your moral compass. Small compromises eventually lead to major ethical failures. The scripture says "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart." Luke 6:45. What you have deep down within you comes out as action, attitude and speech. Your speech and daily behaviour are direct products of what you store in your heart. You cannot produce a positive life while feeding a negative mind.
God desires purity in your thoughts, words, and actions. Harbouring toxic attitudes like bitterness, anger, or malice disrupts your spiritual alignment. Feeding anxiety, pride, or worldly values robs you of mental clarity. True peace only comes from intentionally focusing on things that honor God. God creates everyone for good works. Nurturing sinful attitudes or worldly standards disqualifies you from being a clean vessel ready for His use. Your heart is the command center of your entire existence. If you fail to guard it against wrong inputs, your entire life path becomes corrupted. The responsibility of guarding your heart and mind is not committed to God or Angels, it's committed to your care. What you allow into your spiritual space over time determines who you reflect and become. Be watchful.

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I surrender my mind to Your authority today. I ask that You put a guard over my thoughts and protect me from the influence of a negative and corrupted world. According to Your Word, I choose to focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. When bad values or intrusive thoughts attempt to enter my life, give me the strength to take them captive and make them obedient to Christ in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
