“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” Psalm 34:19.
When parents send children to college, it requires a great investment of money in school fees and other financial obligations. Obviously such parents hope their children will apply themselves to the rigours of academic training, and would graduate with good grades. They don’t look forward to seeing such a child come home and hang his or her degree on the wall, then sit around the house watching television? No! The parent hopes such a child will make his investment pay off by starting a good career. Likewise, when your country makes certain levels of investment in your schooling. Perhaps such gestures are considered an investment, your nation and government want a certain amount of your time and your sincere commitment in return, in order to justify the investment.
So it is with the Lord and your dealing under the earth. Everything you go through as a Christian is a training exercise which has a divine purpose. He did not save you so that you could cruise into paradise on a luxury liner; He saved you to prepare you to be of use in His kingdom. The moment you were born again, He enrolled you in His school for spiritual equipment. Everything, every trial, is another lesson in the curriculum. Some Christians are in kindergarten. The challenges they go through are not difficult to understand and their tests are much easier to endure. Others are in grade school, and they quickly learn that their tests have become a little tougher to face and harder to understand.
Others are in college, and their challenges are much more severe and more difficult to figure out. Still others are in postgraduate school, with years of hard nuts to crack that require fasting, prayers and waiting on the Lord to master and understand His mind. My point is, God wants everything we go through to prepare us for where He is taking us to. We must prove His faithfulness to the next generation. And every affliction we endure is an investment He is making in us as His children. We must justify His investment in us, never allow what you go through to be wasted.

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, Thank you for your visitations. You have opened to me your good treasure, the heavens to give the rain to my land in its season and to bless all the works of my hand. I lend to many, and would not borrow. The Lord makes me the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. God blesses me and surrounds me with favour as a shield. The God of hope fills me with all joy and peace in Jesus name. Amen.
