"He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches." Rev. 2:29.
A minister of God once told a story about the experience he had while he travelled to Mozambique in southern Africa. He was always shocked when he saw a major sign post with the bold inscription: “DANGER MINES KEEP OUT.” The signs referred to land mines hidden just below the surface of the ground, placed in strategic areas during the civil war in the country. The mines were meant to either severely injure or kill people who would unwittingly step on them. These signs were sufficient warnings to people not to venture into these zones. As you can imagine, it would be foolish and absurd to disregard these warning signs.
In a similar way, the Bible gives repeated warnings from our Creator that disobeying His laws will result in severe consequences, troubles and even death! Yet too often we continue to disregard His clear admonitions. To discount or brush aside God’s warnings, while responding to humanly devised danger signs, seems most unwise. We should take note of humanly designed danger signs, but place even higher priority on God’s warnings. God warns us through His words, but much more there are principles put in place that are clear indications of God's divine warning to His people.
“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.” Heb. 2:1. The expression, “We ought to give the more earnest heed…. means also; that we are to give prayer, meditation and personal appropriation to them, because these are the things that are made for our everlasting peace in Christ. We are to follow hard after Christ, believing His precious Word and trusting Him with all the faith He has given us. To sum this verse up, we would say we are being warned of a grave danger, and that danger is to neglect God’s gracious invitation of mercy and grace given us in so great salvation in Christ. And if we do, then we shall not escape the judgement of God against disobedience. May we never be found wanting in heeding divine instructions in Jesus name.

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, I thank you for the protection that the Blood of Jesus gives me, my immediate and extended family, over my church family, and over all my properties and possessions. The Blood of Jesus covers us in our going out and our coming in. We dwell in the secret place of the Most-High God and abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
