"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Rom. 10:9.

A wealthy man spent his entire life planning a flawless, ultra-luxury trip around the world. He spent years mapping out the perfect route. He booked the most exclusive five-star hotels. He secured front-row tickets to every major global event. He packed his bags with the finest clothes.

On the morning of his departure, a friend stopped by to wish him well. The friend looked at the massive stack of tickets, the gold-embossed itineraries, and the custom luggage.

"You have prepared for absolutely everything," the friend remarked. "It looks like the trip of a lifetime."

"I have spent decades securing this," the traveler replied proudly. "Nothing can go wrong."

The friend smiled gently and asked one final question: "And what about the destination? Did you buy your ticket for the final stop?" The traveler looked confused. "What do you mean? I have tickets for Paris, Tokyo, and Rome." The friend replied, "No, I mean your final destination. When this life is over, where is your ticket booked? You spent your whole life preparing for a temporary vacation, but you forgot to prepare for eternity." Securing your place in heaven requires a sincere change of heart and mind. You must acknowledge your wrongdoing and actively turn away from a lifestyle of sin. Repentance is more than feeling sorry; it is a deliberate decision to follow God's ways for the rest of your life. It's a deliberate decision to follow and practice the bible for the rest of your life.

Securing your eternal destiny requires lifelong perseverance and dedication to God. Believers will face trials, temptations, and challenges that test their spiritual resolve. You must remain steadfast in your faith and continuous in your devotion until your final breath. Eternal life is the reward promised to those who do not give up. Your old, sinful nature must be washed away so that a new spiritual nature can come alive. Without this supernatural rebirth, you cannot experience or enter heaven. Please, while you plan the rest of your day and months in a year, don't forget to book the rest of your life in eternity. How you live now, determines to a large extent your later life in heaven.
