Let Wisdom Lead.

"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." - Psa. 43:8.

A mountain climber wanted to conquer a dangerous, icy peak. He hired an experienced, local guide. As they hiked, the climber wanted to take what looked like an "easier, faster" route. The guide stopped him, pointing out that the faster route had hidden ice fractures. The climber lingered over the decision for a while but eventually listened and stayed with the guide. By walking behind him while the guide led the way towards the peak. The guide knew the terrain quite well, so they reached the summit safely. No he was so sure his decision of paying a guide to lead the way and also listening to the tour guide was worth it after all. Wisdom often looks like listening to those who have walked the path before you. We need wise mentors and friends who can spot hidden spiritual and physical dangers we might miss if we are on our own.

Allowing wisdom to lead your life like a tour guide brings clarity, peace, and purpose, through life’s uncertainties. Wisdom acts as a compass, removing confusion and showing you the exact steps to take toward your goals. When you let wisdom guide you, you avoid wandering aimlessly and make choices that align with your true calling. Just as a tour guide steers you away from dangerous terrain, wisdom helps you spot hidden traps and avoid poor decisions. It sharpens your judgment so you can easily sidestep unnecessary pain and regret.

Wisdom teaches you to focus on what truly matters and let go of things outside your control. This shift in perspective replaces anxiety with a deep, lasting sense of tranquility. Wisdom teaches you how to treat other people with love, respect, and patience. It helps you know the right words to say when you are upset, which stops arguments before they start. This builds trust and makes your friendships and family bonds much stronger. You do not have to be afraid of the future when wisdom leads you. Wisdom gives you the knowledge and confidence to handle whatever surprises come your way. It reminds you that you are always prepared for the next step. Selah!
