Living A God Centered Life.

"Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith,"  Prov. 15:16.

There's something every Fisherman knows, that you and I as believers ought to know too. They know that, to catch a fish or perhaps a lobster, they don't need to chase it. They simply place a bait—often something attractive like mackerel—inside a trap and sink it to the bottom. The lobster is attracted by the bait, enters the trap, and once inside, the way out is almost impossible. The very thing it wanted (the bait) became its destruction. Just like the lobster trap, life has the ability to set a bait for us as believers, I do hope we don't walk into such traps. Wealth and possessions often offer allurements and temporary delight, promising happiness. Yet, the desire for it leads people into traps, "choking" their spiritual life, stealing their time, and causing them to stray from faith. 

A man spent his entire life accumulating wealth, pursuing the "good life,"  so to say and boasting about his portfolio. He rarely spent time in God’s Word, prioritizing his career over his walk with Christ. When he finally gained all the financial security he wanted, he realized he had "choked out" his relationship with God and his family. He had a magnificent home, but no peace; a large bank account, but a bankrupt soul. Riches are deceptive because they look like a blessing (and can be), but they often blind us to our true spiritual state, leading us to build our kingdom rather than God's. You heard me, you must stop building your own kingdom and start building God's kingdom. This is a call to align your life's pursuits with spiritual growth, transforming personal ambition into a sacrifice for God's glory. Shift focus from personal accumulation, pride, and career ambition to spiritual impact. Actively serve others through love and humility rather than seeking dominance or self-interest. Utilize personal resources to support God’s purposes on earth.

The older you become in life, the more you walk with God you will break into an amazing discovery, that discovery is that "With God, less is more." What does this mean? Well, it means that reducing self-reliance, ego, and worldly distractions allows for greater reliance on God's power, grace, and abundance. By decreasing our own efforts and pride, we create space for His strength to be perfected in our weakness, resulting in more peace and spiritual fulfillment. You must declutter your life to find more Fulfilment in God. God reduced Gideon's army to 300 men from 3,000 men so that the victory was clearly from Him, not from human strength. Life tells us that more is the secret of more, but God tells us that less is the secret of more. If you want more with God, you must settle it with yourself to spend more time with God and less time running from pillar to post. Selah!

Where I am weak, I ask for Your strength. When I am confused, I ask for Your wisdom and direction in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
