"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Cor. 10:31.

Here is an illustration of how to find God's will that has been useful to many: There was a certain harbour that was treacherous and dangerous. In order for the captain to guide his ship safely into this harbour, he had to be very attentive to the three lights that were used to guide him. When all three lights lined up as one, he knew it was safe to proceed. Then, and only then, would he be able to bring his ship safely to port. For as long as he chooses to walk in disobedience to this light, he may become an endangered species. So it is in walking in God's will. As we seek guidance, we, too, have to be attentive to three lights that are used to guide us into the harbour of His will: The Word of God, outward circumstances, and inner conviction. When all three of these lights line up, we can proceed with assurance that we will be led safely into the harbour.

Walking in God's divine will requires complete surrender and active alignment with His Word. By cultivating a daily relationship through prayer, trusting His guidance, and obeying His commands, you can confidently navigate life and fulfill the specific purpose He has designed for you. You must yield your personal desires to God's ultimate plan, recognizing that His ways are higher than your own. Lean entirely on God for direction rather than your own logic or societal expectations. Allow the Holy Spirit to transform your perspective so you can actively discern what is good and acceptable. When I speak of what is good and acceptable, I'm not necessarily talking about global best practices, such may be good and acceptable for humanity not necessarily for heaven, so it's important to know what is good and acceptable before God.

Don't just be another passive hearer of God's word, don't be another docile church attendee, Put God's Word into action by actively doing what He commands in your daily walk. Consistently ask for divine instructions and discernment so you can make choices that honour Him. Avoid the urge to rush ahead of God or fall behind in disobedience; learn to walk in step with His Spirit. Ensure that the overarching motivation of your actions is to bring honour and glory to God not to prove a point to the world or your friends. Ensure your motive for doing anything you do before God is right, because it's very possible to do the right thing with the wrong motivation. Never forget that God is not a man, before Him, all secrets are as plain as crystals, may you never be found wanting before God in Jesus' name. Selah!

DECLARATION:

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I come before You strip me of my pride and self-reliance. Teach me to walk in humility, love, and grace, so that those around me may see Your goodness in my actions. When I am faced with trials or temptations, give me the strength to resist seeking the approval of people, and help me to seek Your approval as ultimate. Use me as an instrument of Your peace and a light in this dark world. Direct my steps, open doors for me to serve others, and let my life bear much fruit that points men to You in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
