“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil. and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.” Heb. 2:14-15.

Alfred Krupp of Prussia, the great cannon king, was literally a manufacturer of death. However, he had such a fear of death that he never forgave anyone who spoke to him of it. Every employee throughout his vast works was strictly forbidden to refer to the subject of death in conversation. He fled from his own home when a relative of his wife suddenly died there, and when Mrs. Krupp remonstrated, he became so enraged that lifelong separation ensued. During his last illness he offered his physician a million dollars if he would prolong his life ten years. But no amount of money could buy an extension of his life. How different it was with Jesus Christ, because He was not only God but man at the same time. When He became man, He came down for a definite time, that by His death and resurrection death might be conquered.

Jesus boldly declares in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” Based upon the tremendous hope in this statement, every believer should be bold and confident living in accordance to God's word, free from the fear of death. Jesus has rid death of its sting and the grace of its power over us. Adam’s sin, brought the calamity of death upon all humanity? but through the obedience of Christ life has been restored to humanity. Live your life free from the fear of death. Pursue your purpose, live out God's call for your life never allow the fear of death to cripple your calling and destiny. Choose life, live your life to the fullest. The fear of death is more torturous than death itself. You have been called to bold living.

One of the gift salvation bestowed upon the believer is boldness. In Heb. 10:35, it says “Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.” the boldness to live for God should naturally come with your salvation if you truly know the Lord. The lack of fear is a gift that God has given the redeemed. I have eternal life not because of me, but because of Christ Jesus. This is what Romans 6:23 says: “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Salvation a gift you receive, not a prize you earn. In this sense, eternal life has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Him. We have no fear of death because we have eternal life. We do not fear death, dear Christian, because we have eternal life. God always gave us a choice to choose between life and death. My admonition is that you choose life, choose health, choose victory, choose success. The proof of your choice is found in your boldness to go all out, believe God's word and live according to his accurate pattern for your life. Selah!
