Making The Most Of Wisdom And Prudence.

“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And I find knowledge and discretion.” Prov. 8:12.

An architect was hired to build a great tower. He spent a full year digging into the earth and pouring concrete. People in the town made fun of him, They felt he was taking too much time doing nothing serious. They wanted to see the building go up quickly. The architect simply replied, "I am building this tower for the winds that will come in the near future, not just for the sunny days." They wondered what he was talking about, they had never known any wind blows in that community. Years  after he was done, the storms finally hit, his tower stood strong while the buildings with weak foundations in the town crumbled. A Prudent builder must  take the time and painstaking effort to build a strong, reliable foundation, else his effort will not stand the test of time.

Don't just be satisfied being called a believer. You must pursue the honour of being recognised as a Prudent believer. Prudence is the wisdom to make good choices and act with careful thought. For believers, it means living in a way that honors God by avoiding danger and foolish mistakes. Cultivating this virtue helps you protect your faith and walk in integrity every day. King David was angry with a Nabal for being rude and was planning to kill him and all his men. Nabal's wife, Abigail, heard about David's plan. She acted quickly and with great prudence. She loaded donkeys with food and went to meet David. She spoke to him with humility and respect. Her wise, calm words stopped David from making a terrible mistake and committing murder. She never complicated the matter, with carelessness.

A prudent believer guards their heart and mind against negative influences. You should carefully choose what you watch, listen to, and think about. By protecting your mind, you keep your focus on God’s truth and maintain a peaceful spirit. Prudence requires you to think before you speak. Words have great power, and a wise believer knows when to speak and when to stay quiet. Controlling your tongue prevents hurt, stops arguments, and brings encouragement to those around you. Seeking wise advice in times of doubt is a true sign of a prudent believer. You should always consult God's Word and talk to mature mentors before making big life choices. This humility protects you from making decisions based on temporary emotions.
