NO MORE SHADOW BOXING.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psa. 23:4.
There was a man who was so disturbed by the sight of his own shadow and so displeased with his own footsteps that he was determined to get rid of both. The method he hit upon was to run away from them. So he gets up every morning and starts to run. But every time he put his foot down there was another step, while his shadow kept up with him without the slightest difficulty. He attributed his failure to the idea that he was not running fast enough. So he ran faster and faster, without stopping, until he finally dropped dead. He failed to realize that if he merely stepped into the shade, his shadow would vanish, and if he sat down and stayed still, there would be no more footsteps.
A shadow is created when an obstruction comes between a light source and a surface. Many times we bring on the shadows in our lives because we put something between God and ourselves. It can be bad memories between you and God. It may be fear between you and God. It may be family or friends between you and God. Whatever it is, a shadow is produced. Shadow has no substance of its own, it's a reflection of who you are and your actions. Can you catch, or touch or hold a shadow? No. Once you make a choice to leave the past behind you, you can overcome the hurt and fear that it might happen again. You can walk through the shadow for it has no substance.
I remind you again: a shadow has no substance. The shadow may appear to loom larger than the obstruction, but it’s an illusion. Satan’s ploy is to make the test or trial that you are dealing with appear larger than it truly is, just like the shadow. He wants you to believe that there is no way around the shadow. He’s a deceiver. When the obstruction is removed and the light of God’s glory is allowed to shine on the situation, there is no shadow. The illusion disappears. Never chase shadows whether yours or that of others, you should keep Your eyes on the Lord and His counsel, as you become more aware of God and his purpose for your life, the shadow stops to count while every footstep you take draws you closer to the Lord. Your footsteps may end up being a roadmap that leads others into God's will and purpose. Selah!

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. I ask that You lift me above every shadow of fear, insecurity, and oppression that attempts to hide my destiny. I choose to dwell in the secret place of the Most High, to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I break every circle of limitation and every shadow of disappointment, failure, and sickness that has followed me. Teach me to look unto the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ, rather than looking around at distractions. I decree that I am not chasing illusions or running from my destiny, but I am walking in the light of Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
