Overcome Jealousy And Enjoy Your Life.

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.” 1 Tim. 6:6-7.
There is a distinction between jealousy and envy. To envy is to want something which belongs to another person. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house, his wife or his servant, his ox or donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbour." In contrast, jealousy is the fear that something which we possess will be taken away by another person. Although jealousy can apply to our jobs, our possessions, or our reputations, the word more often refers to anxiety which comes when we are afraid that the affections of a loved one might be lost to a rival. We fear that our mates, or perhaps our children, will be lured away by some other person who, when compared to us, seems to be more attractive, capable and successful.
It's so important for you to deal with jealousy in all its ramifications. It has the capacity to reduce you to a practitioner of witchcraft even as a Christian. Jealousy damages relationships through suspicion, resentment, and aggressive behaviour, while also negatively impacting your mental health and general personality by causing anxiety, low self-esteem, and self-sabotage. It can lead to a cycle of obsessive behaviour, conflict, and even violence, and prevent personal growth by focusing a person's attention on outward rather than on self-reflection and on the blessings of God in your life. You must of necessity overcome jealousy as a believer, else you become an enemy of progress,
Overcoming jealousy leads to improved mental, physical and spiritual health. It leads to healthier and stronger bonds in your relationships. It accelerates your personal growth by reducing stress and resentment while increasing confidence and gratitude. It shifts focus from comparison to contentment. No doubt our text says godliness with contentment is great gain. I have dealt with great men who are actually very small in their minds. They have allowed lack of contentment and jealousy to reduce them into witch-hunting even their subordinates who are doing well. May God grant us all great grace never to allow pettiness and jealousy to be formed in our lives in Jesus name. Amen!

DECLARATION:
Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I ask that You protect me from jealousy and envy. Please forgive me for my thoughts and actions that have been led by jealousy. Help me to take my eyes off myself and fix them on You. Help me to be content and grateful for all that I have. Turn my attention to the blessings You have given me, so I can focus on the riches of Your kingdom. Protect me from the desire for what others have, and help me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, not conformed to the world. I declare that I’m blessed and walk in the blessing today in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
