Pursue Your Dreams.

“And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.” Gen. 37:9.
An experiment was conducted with a group of monkeys. Four monkeys were placed in a room that had a tall pole in the centre. Suspended from the top of the pole was a bunch of bananas. One of the hungry monkeys started climbing the pole to get something to eat. But just as he reached out to grab a banana, cold water splashed on him. Squealing, he scampered down the pole and abandoned his attempt to feed himself. Each monkey made a similar attempt, and each one was drenched with cold water. After making several attempts, they finally gave up. Then researchers removed one of the monkeys from the room and replaced him with a new monkey. As the newcomer began to climb the pole, the other three grabbed him and pulled him down to the ground. After trying to climb the pole several times and being dragged down by the others, he finally gave up and never attempted to climb the pole again.
The researchers continued this process, they kept preventing one another from climbing, but none of them knew why.
Perhaps others have dragged you down in life. They’ve discouraged you from dreaming. Maybe they resented the fact that you wanted to move up or to do something significant with your life. Or maybe they were trying to protect you from pain or disappointment. Either way, if you’ve been discouraged from dreaming, take heart. It’s never too late to start dreaming and pursuing your dream. I insist that It is never too late to dream because age brings wisdom, life is meant for continuous growth, and your potential has no expiration date. Pursuing dreams provides purpose, fuels personal fulfillment, and transforms, proving that it is never too late to become who you want to be.
You have more experience and wisdom with age, you possess better insights, skills, and strategic thinking to pursue your goals more effectively than before. Your dreams provide purpose and direction giving you a reason to wake up with excitement and drive, regardless of your age. Chasing your own passions is a form of self-love and self-care, allowing you to live a life that feels authentic to you. By chasing your dreams later in life, you become a powerful example to others, showing that fear and societal expectations should not hold them back. It's time to make up your mind to dream again. It doesn't matter who pulled you down, irrespective of who called you names or wrote you off, be resilient and determined never to back out of the pursuit of your dreams. Selah!
