“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten” Joel 2:25.

Are you feeling like time is not on your side? Are you battling the feeling of being left behind or running against time? The good news is even your wasted years can be restored. We all want to be sure we are on course and on time in God’s dealings and agenda. Nobody likes to be left behind nor left stranded. We all imagine ourselves ahead of everyone every time. The feeling of being left behind is enough heartbreak and ache for anyone. How often have you thought, “I could have been so much ahead of my peers if not for so and so mistake! I could have achieved this and that, if not for my carelessness.” And then you go… “I can never make up for all those wasted years.” The devil is a liar.

To repentant sinners, the Lord declares, “Fear not … be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done marvellous things!” Joel 2:21. You do not need to be ashamed of your wasted years. You were born for his eternal purposes. He planned for you a life of satisfaction, joy and usefulness in his kingdom, but God’s plan for your life was interrupted by the devourers. But now, in Christ, all is new! The Lord goes back to the day the locust came and he starts counting again from the moment you repented. All those blessings you missed were stored up, and all the joy and peace you thought were gone forever were actually kept by the Lord and would be returned to you.

Paul said, “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” Phil. 3:13-14. You may feel pangs of remorse for your wasted time, and memories will keep you humble, but in God’s eyes, your past is a dead issue. Your loving Father says, “Forget the past and press on to what I have promised you.” Yes! God is making all things new for you. Cheer up and look up. He will turn things to your favour. Hang in there and await strategy to give you leverage for your next level of recovery! Selah.

DECLARATION:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for another day. I declare today my supernatural restoration and reclamation. All my lost portions and inheritance are supernaturally restored. My wasted years and turned to invested years. My tears of sorrow and deprivation are turned to tears of joy of recovery. No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgement is  condemned. God is with me, like a mighty terrible one I gain new ground beca the lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Amen.
