Standing On God's Promises.

“Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work'" John. 4:34.

Anthony Ray Hinton spent nearly 30 years on Alabama’s death row for murders he didn’t commit. He maintained a humble faith throughout his trial and incarceration, never bitter, never rejecting God, even during decades of injustice. He recalled praying, “God, this isn’t fair. But I know You can settle this.” And he believed with every prayer. Finally, in 2014, the Supreme Court overturned his conviction. The state dropped the charges. He walked out free in 2015—after almost three decades of waiting. What makes his story breathtaking is not just his innocence, but his unyielding desire and persuasion. He said afterward, “The sun does shine… even on death row.” He used his ordeal to encourage criminals and exonerated people—believing God used it for redemption beyond himself.

Never allow your current circumstances to destroy your drive and desire for life. The pursuit of God’s will is essential because trials are intended to refine, not break, your purpose. When you keep your focus on God during hard times, you position yourself to experience His strength and see His faithfulness. Difficulties are part of life in a broken world, but they are not permanent. They are temporary tests designed by God to build endurance, character, and hope. Instead of destroying you, these challenges are meant to prepare you for the blessings you have prayed for. Maintain a holy desire. A holy desire is a deep-seated craving that pulls you toward destiny and sparks prayer. Lack of holy desire leads to spiritual paralysis, but maintaining a fervent desire for God and His will provokes heaven to respond and triggers divine intervention.

Keeping your eyes on God enables you to find peace that surpasses all understanding, rather than becoming consumed by the situation you are going through. Maintaining your drive when motivation fails allows you to look back and see how God was working during impossible times. Keeping faith in the middle of a trial allows your experience to become a testimony that glorifies God and encourages others. God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, according to His purpose. Even when you cannot see a resolution, your faith in His promise not your current, temporary circumstances is what dictates your final outcome. Selah!
