Staying On Course.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Gal. 6:9. NIV.

Imagine walking through a dry, cracked desert. Nothing green, nothing blooming. Just miles of dust, sand, and silence. But what you can’t see is what’s underneath that lifeless surface. Beneath the dirt, hidden in the harshest environments, are thousands—sometimes millions—of tiny desert seeds. They’ve been lying dormant for years, sometimes decades, waiting for a single moment: rain. When that rain comes—and it doesn’t come often—it doesn’t just water the ground. It awakens life. Almost overnight, the desert transforms. Wildflowers explode into color. Plants shoot up from what looked like death. The dry wasteland becomes a garden. Why? Because the seed never forgot what it was promised. 

It was created with the expectation that rain would come. Some of you have been waiting. Praying. Holding on. And it feels dry. Lifeless. Like nothing is changing. But if God planted a promise in you, you can trust this: He knows when the rain is coming. Hope in God’s promises is like those desert seeds. Just because it hasn’t bloomed yet doesn’t mean it’s dead. It means it’s waiting—for God’s timing, for His rain, for His appointed season. And when it comes? It won’t just trickle. It will burst. Never give up hope in God’s promises because He is faithful to finish what He started, His strength works through your weakness, and your current struggles are preparing you for a greater purpose. Trusting Him ensures you will reap a harvest at the proper time. 

God is not human, so He cannot lie or fail to fulfill what He promised. Even when circumstances seem hopeless, such as in the case of Abraham, God can bring life out of dead situations, as  His character is the guarantee, not your situation. When you feel too weak to continue, that is when God’s power is made perfect. You do not have to rely on your own strength, which is limited, but on the supernatural strength of God that sustains you when you are afflicted. Every struggle is temporary and part of a larger plan working for your good and His glory, ensure that you do not become weary in doing good, you will reap a harvest, making perseverance essential for the ultimate victory.

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I come before You today acknowledging my weakness and needing Your strength. When I feel like giving up, Lord, help me to keep going. Give me the tenacity and resilience to overcome the challenges I face. When I feel depleted, please renew my spirit and refresh me with Your peace and joy. Help me to stand firm and remain resolute in the face of difficulties and frustration, anchoring my heart in Your presence. Let Your word and Your light be my guide so I can walk fearlessly in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
