Take Advantage Of Opportunities.

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."Eph. 5:15-17.

A great man once said there are three things which cannot come back by themselves if used up without replacement. The spent arrow, the spoken word, and the lost opportunity. Blind Bartimaeus could not know what lay just ahead for Jesus in Jerusalem. He could not know that the Master would be crucified there and that this opportunity would never come again. He did know, however, that the opportunity was here, now, and he wasn’t going to allow it to pass him by. He was apt enough to recognise that this was his opportunity and he had to make the best use of it. Many Christians fear stepping out of their comfort zone, fearing that a failed attempt at a new opportunity indicates a lack of God’s blessing or personal inadequacy. They would rather remain in their frustration, keep quiet hoping that someday in the sweet by and by sometime would change by itself.

We also have others who due to spiritual immaturity and laziness, have short-changed themselves. A lack of spiritual growth can result in failing to recognize or appreciate the value of opportunities. Proverbs often warn that laziness or a love for comfort leads to missed potential and poverty, rather than prosperity. Lack of clear vision or direction

without a clear understanding of God’s purpose or a specific call, Christians may experience indecision, leading to hesitation and missed moments. Never become over-familiar with "Comfortable" Seasons, sometimes a previously blessed opportunity can become a cause of not taking advantage of opportunities.

Some Christians fail to move on when God is calling them to a new season, clinging to the familiar instead of trusting in a new direction. Some believers also practice unbelief or misguided theology. A misconception that "God will do everything" without human action can lead to passivity. Similar to the parable of the talents, failing to invest what has been given due to lack of faith (or fear) results in wasted opportunities. Recognise that God will do his path, but God also wants you to do yours in grabbing opportunities. Don't become overwhelmed by life and distractions. The pressures of work, family, and modern life can overwhelm individuals, leading to a lack of focus and energy to pursue new, divine opportunities. Selah!

DECLARATION:

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Lord, I come before You today to ask for the wisdom to recognize the opportunities You place in my path. Open my spiritual eyes to see divine possibilities, even in small or unlikely situations. Grant me the courage and boldness to step through the doors You have opened, and the strength to not let fear or procrastination make me miss my moment of visitation. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
