The Harvest Is Coming.

"He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap" Eccle. 11:4.

There was once a farmer who lived in a region known for its harsh, unforgiving weather—a place where the ground often felt like iron, and the rain was unpredictable. Many farmers in this area gave up, leaving their fields barren because they only planted when they saw rain clouds. One seasoned farmer, however, acted differently. This farmer knew that the law of seedtime and harvest is not dependent on circumstances, but on the promise of God. One particularly dry season, he decided to plant a large crop of potatoes. The ground was so hard he could barely break it. His neighbors laughed at him, saying he was wasting his valuable seed. Even the farmhand thought it was foolish to plant in such dry, lifeless dirt. After planting, weeks passed. There was no rain. The surface of the ground remained cracked and desolate. The farmhand told the farmer, "It’s over. The seeds are dead." But the farmer replied, "The seed is in itself. My job is to plant; God’s job is to create life.”

The farmer had to walk by faith, not by sight. He continued to tend the field, weeding and nurturing it even though he saw no fruit above ground. He understood that the longer it takes, the greater the miracle. He had to wait patiently for the seed to reach maturity, knowing that "in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" Gal. 6:9. Finally, the time came for the harvest. The farmhand began to dig in a corner, expecting nothing. But as he turned over the soil, he gasped. Below the surface, in the cool, hidden dirt, the potato seeds had produced a harvest twice the size of any normal year. Why? Because the harsh, dry environment forced the seeds to go deeper for moisture, resulting in a stronger, larger yield. Your struggle is not destroying your harvest; it is developing your talent and creating a deeper root system.

Do not become weary in doing good, as you will reap a harvest at the proper time if you do not give up. Waiting is not wasted time, but a period for cultivating endurance and strengthening faith. Stay consistent in your efforts, as giving up too soon forfeits the rewards of your labour. Be deliberate and Purposeful during your waiting season. Don't observe what I call parasitic wait, it means you are doing nothing, expecting nothing and praying about nothing. The waiting season is essential for growth and building character before the harvest.

Even when results are not immediately visible, keep sowing seeds of goodness.

Trust that your harvest will come at the "proper time". Stay Focused, temptations to quit usually arise just before the harvest; remain firm and focused, your harvest is no doubt surely and definitely on the way. Congratulations, welcome to a new week, your harvest is waiting for you.

Protect my labour from pests, diseases, and premature destruction. Lord, cause my land to yield its increase, I ask for a hundredfold return on all my investments. Let the reapers overtake the sowers, and let my harvest multiply beyond my expectations in the mighty name of Jesus.
