“Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.” Prov. 6:6-8.

Several centuries ago, a Japanese emperor commissioned an artist to paint a bird. A number of months passed, then several years, and still no painting was brought to the palace. Finally the emperor became so exasperated that he went to the artist's home to demand an explanation. Instead of making excuses, the artist placed a blank canvas on the easel. In less than an hour, he completed a painting that was to become a brilliant masterpiece. When the emperor asked the reason for the delay, the artist showed him armloads of drawings of feathers, wings, heads, and feet. Then he explained that all of this research and study had been necessary before he could complete the painting.

Preparation is the foundational secret to the world of unlimited success. Preparation enthrone winners and give hope to champions. If you don't prepare you don’t have a chance. Failure will be challenged by preparation, success will last long by It. Preparation empowers purpose. While unwise men keep seeking and waiting for opportunities, the wise keep preparing for opportunities. When opportunity meets with preparation, it catapults destiny into endless greatness. Preparation is the unseen foundation in upon which lasting success stands, except you invest in solid preparation, you can have enduring victory.

Lack of preparation can make mockery of a genius and preparation can make a genius out of an average person. When you undermine preparation you lose the opportunity to stand on the podium to be rewarded. Prayer is a form of preparation, but mere directionless and emotional preyer does not replace preparation. We all celebrate the prowess of David in killing Goliath, but David was not a sudden arrival. He had consistently, conquered Lions and Bear, those secret conquest became his preparation for the big day which announced him to all men. Don't take for granted your preparation, it is the key to your celebration.

You spoke into nothingness and created the world. I speak into this day and declare that it will cooperate with Your plans and purpose for my life. Anything sent to frustrate Your purposes for this day is bound now in the name of Jesus and rendered ineffective. I declare that the lines fall for me in pleasant places.
