The Power of Recognition.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Eph. 2:10. NLT.

When I was going to make my first International trip, I didn't have a passport, I needed to quickly get the issue of my passport sorted. You know the way it works in Nigeria. I needed someone who had an insider in the Nigerian immigration service. Someone linked me up with a particular officer who I spoke with so many times,  he assured me that he could settle the issue for me within a few days time frame. I had to travel to Osogbo in Osun State to meet him. When I finally arrived at Osogbo immigration office, I met an officer who attended to me and was questioning me about the officer I came to see. I gave a detailed description of the rank and names of the officer, yet I couldn't recognise him because I have never met him beyond speaking on the phone. I have waited a while before the same man who I have been with, who has attended to me and was questioning me , now owned up that he is the person I came to see. He drilled me because I knew what I wanted, but could not recognise what I wanted.

Many people go through life the same way, they know what they want, but can't recognise it when they see it. Life is powered by the force and principles of recognition. The power of recognition is the clarity to know what you want out of life, rooted in divine purpose. By aligning your mind with Scripture, you can overcome confusion, recognize your God-given calling, and step confidently into your future. It's important to know that you are a unique masterpiece created with intention, not an accident. Knowing who you are in Christ grounds your purpose. You do not have to wander through life aimlessly. God has a specific, hopeful future prepared for you, allowing you to focus on what truly matters. You do not have to rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge God in your decisions, and He will guide you to your exact destination. 

The way you think dictates what you pursue. By intentionally capturing negative thoughts and replacing them with God's truth, you gain the clarity to recognize your life's goals. Too many believers wander through life not knowing and recognising in specific terms what God wants for them or how they can achieve such dreams and calling. When your desires are aligned with God, He provides the internal drive and the external power to recognise, idealise and accomplish your goals and live a pleasing life. When you recognize and chase after your calling, every circumstance whether a trial or a victory is ultimately used to serve your greater purpose. True satisfaction does not come from worldly applause or frantic striving. A deeply fulfilling life is found by pursuing God's kingdom first, which naturally brings everything else into alignment. Selah!

I surrender my own will, my fears, and my anxieties, and I ask that  You open my eyes to Your direction, shine light on my path, and activate my gifts to serve and glorify You. Grant me boldness to follow my destiny, strength to overcome challenges, and the trust to wait on Your timing, so my life reflects Your love, in Jesus' name. Amen
