"For we walk by faith, not by sight."  2 Cor. 5:7.

A young girl was asleep on the second floor of her home when she awakened in the middle of the night to the smell of acrid smoke. She stumbles to the door, opens it, and is met with a sheet of fire. She slams the door and runs to the window, staring down into the dark, smoke-filled yard. Below, she hears her father’s voice calling out, "Honey, jump! I'll catch you." She cries, "But Daddy, I can't see you!" He replies, "That's okay, I can see you. Jump!" In case you don't know that is the real essence of faith, you don't have to see it all before you leap. The leap of faith is dependent always on your trust in God.  It is not about having a complete map of your future or seeing exactly how God is going to resolve your crisis. Faith is the total abandonment of yourself into your Heavenly Father's waiting arms, trusting His character even when the path immediately ahead is obscured by the smoke of uncertainty.

Walking in faith means confidently trusting in God's character and promises, relying on His divine guidance rather than human limitations. It requires surrendering your own understanding and acting in obedience, even when the future is unclear or the journey demands sacrifice. Faith calls you to prioritize divine truth over human logic, sensory evidence, or present circumstances. Because the spiritual realm is eternal, believers are encouraged to make decisions and shape their lives based on the unchanging promises of God rather than just what is immediately visible. It involves surrendering your anxiety and wholeheartedly depending on God's wisdom, trusting that His ultimate plan is perfect and secure even when the path ahead does not make sense.

Faith goes beyond merely acknowledging God's existence; it is an active expectation that He can intervene in any situation. Approaching God with confidence—even in the face of insurmountable "mountains"—opens the door for His power to move, shifting your daily energy from hopeless worry to expectant prayer. Because faith is a firm conviction in God's goodness. A vibrant faith is built and sustained by regularly immersing yourself in Scripture. The Bible provides the divine wisdom and clarity needed to discern the correct steps forward when the terrain of life becomes confusing or overwhelming. True faith cannot be separated from action. It involves hearing God’s voice and willingly obeying His commands, even when those directions seem to contradict your own logic or go against the grain of the world.

DECLARATION:

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. I come to You today, acknowledging that without faith, it is impossible to please You. I choose to walk by faith and not by sight. When the path ahead is unclear and my feelings try to overwhelm me, help me to hold fast to Your Word and Your promises. I surrender my need to figure everything out on my own. Give me the courage to step out when You call, to trust Your timing, and to see my circumstances through Your eyes in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
