Trust The Process.

"Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction." 1 Tim. 6:9.

A young boy saw a beautiful, bright cocoon of a butterfly. He wanted to keep it, so he took it home. When the colorful butterfly finally started to break free, it struggled for a long time. The boy felt bad and carefully used scissors to cut the cocoon open, making it easy for the butterfly to come out. However, because the butterfly missed the struggle of pushing its way out, its wings never grew strong. It could only crawl on the ground and soon died. The real lesson for us all here is that God has not created us to cut corners, we are designed to stay the course and achieve results based on following the dues process. Success is sweeter when we know we did it well and right. 

Skipping the hard work robs us of the strength and character we need to grow.

People cut corners to succeed because they desire quick results, fear failure, or lack patience. They may want to outsmart others or feel extreme pressure to reach the top. Unfortunately, these shortcuts usually destroy trust, damage character, and lead to deeper troubles, proving that honest methods yield the best long-term rewards. Men, believers alike seek quick wealth or fame without putting in the necessary daily effort. The scriptures warn against this rush, noting that impatience often leads to moral failure. The dread of not meeting expectations drives many to cheat. People may feel they are not smart or skilled enough to achieve their goals fairly, so they bend the rules to protect their reputation. This insecurity blinds them to the truth that failure is simply a learning tool.

History shows that dishonest gains are rarely permanent. Hidden actions almost always come to light, resulting in public disgrace or trouble. The scriptures emphasize that the truth will eventually surface, bringing down those who built their lives on lies. Beyond earthly consequences, cutting corners harms a person's spiritual well-being. Dishonesty creates a barrier between the individual and God, as it violates the divine laws of fairness, truth, and love for one's neighbour. Gaining worldly success through unethical means ultimately costs a person their soul and their legacy. Any achievements built on a foundation of lies will not stand the test of time. True, lasting success involves maintaining one's moral compass and earning respect. Selah.

Please help me stay focused on the right path to reach my goals. Give me the patience to do the work and the wisdom to trust the process. Keep me away from the temptation to take easy shortcuts or cheat my way to the top. Let me know that honest, hard work brings true and lasting success. When I feel tired or discouraged, give me the energy to keep going the right way in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
