"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Eph. 2:8-9.

A man who was renowned for walking on tightrope across dangerous canyons or roaring, icy rivers. He has been known to push a wheelbarrow across a tightrope, demonstrating his ability to cross safely to the applause and dismay of bystanders and crowd. On one of the occasions of his display, he asked the crowd, "Do you believe I can carry a person across this tightrope?" The crowd cheers, "Yes, we believe!"

Then the walker asks for a volunteer to get into the wheelbarrow. The crowd goes silent. They believed he could do it, but they did not trust him with their lives. That's how many believers live their lives. That act of believing he could do it is merely a mental accent, but someone offering his life to be used as an experiment is now equivalent to faith, not just faith but saving faith. Faith isn't just believing that Jesus can save; it is getting into the wheelbarrow and trusting Him alone to save you.

Saving faith is not merely an intellectual agreement with religious doctrines, but a transformative, active trust in Jesus Christ that manifests in everyday decisions and actions. It is characterized by a changed heart, a love for God, and an inclination to obey Him. True faith is proven during hardships. Instead of growing angry with God, a believer trusts that He is in control and using the situation for good. When faced with bad news, you choose to trust God’s promises rather than reacting in fear or despair. It stirs the inner resolve and desire to obey God, even when it is difficult or inconvenient, because you trust His wisdom over your own. Saving faith will make you choose to act with integrity in a business deal, even if lying would bring higher profits.

Saving faith manifests through love and service to others, reflecting the love of Christ. If your heart  is truly touched and transformed by faith, it leads you to treating others with compassion. You choose to forgive a friend who has hurt you, choosing restoration over revenge. It helps you to recognise that everything you own belongs to God. You manage resources as a steward, not an owner, and give generously. You share your time or money to help the needy, believing God will provide for your own needs. Saving faith looks like taking God at His word and acting on it daily. It is the confidence that God’s presence is with you in the ordinary everyday affairs of life. You start your day by intentionally committing your plans to God, rather than rushing out in your own strength. True faith produces a hunger to know God more through His Word, not just as a religious obligation but as a lifeline.

DECLARATION:

Dear Abba Father, I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of salvation. Father, Your Word says that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore, I bring my brokenness, my habits, and my shortcomings to You. I ask that You multiply Your grace in my life to overcome these challenges, transforming my character from glory to glory. Help me, Holy Spirit, to walk in humility, knowing that Your grace flows best in a humble heart. I receive the power to live a life that glorifies You, and I thank You for changing my story from struggle to glory in Jesus name. Amen.
