Unleash Your Courage.

“That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.” 2 Tim. 1:12.

Years ago, during a severe, multi-year drought in California, many farmers were giving up. Their crops were dead, the ground was baked cracked-hard, and the financial, physical, and emotional toll was too high. One by one, they packed up their belongings and abandoned their land, heading for the city to find work. However, one farmer refused to leave. When others saw dry land, he saw a future. He believed that even though the surface was dry, there was water deep below. He took his life savings—thousands of dollars—and hired a crew to dig a new, much deeper well, even while his neighbors mocked him for wasting his money.

As they dug, the drill hit hard rock, then dry sand, then more rock. But the farmer refused to stop. He was determined to find water. Finally, after weeks of relentless digging, the drill broke through, and a gushing, fresh, and abundant stream of water erupted. While others were in despair, this farmer was watering a lush green field of almond trees because he dug deeper when others stopped. One of the most powerful forces in the world is the will of men and women who believe in themselves, who dare to hope and aim high, who go confidently after the things they want from life. The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will and determination.

Determination is not a one-time grand gesture, but a series of small, daily, committed actions. Resilience in the face of failure, rather than giving up, a determined person treats failures as temporary diversions and lessons for growth. They dust themselves off and keep going. It involves stepping outside one's comfort zone to achieve a goal.  Determination involves ignoring distractions and focusing energy on what is important, often sacrificing immediate, short-term pleasure for long-term success. A determined person is flexible with their methods, finding new ways to succeed if the first path doesn't work. It's my prayer for God to keep you strong and determined to pursue His purpose for your life, selah!
