"I can do all things through him who strengthens me" Phil. 4:13.
President Ulysses S. Grant was the 18th president of the United States, serving from 1869 to 1877. It was believed that he loved horses and dogs, but he suffered so much misfortune with his series of dogs dying prematurely, while in the White House. Each dog died of unknown causes. The president’s Jesse Grant, voiced his fears that his treasured Newfoundland dog breed may suffer the same fate as his father's dogs. The same day, the president summoned the White House stewards. Every one of them was in attendance of this special meeting.
The president didn't ask any question or make any accusation, rather he made a promise: "Jesse has a new dog. You may have noticed that his former pets have been particularly unfortunate. When this dog dies, every employee in the White House will be fired.” The dog named Faithful, enjoyed superb health throughout Grant's tenure in the White House, and was long lived. We all need motivation to do what is right and to also do it right. Motivation is a desire put in motion; a want that makes you move in a positive direction. What motivates each of us is as varied as our favorite movie, food or song. Personally, I try to capitalize on days when I’m highly motivated to make up for the days with a lack of dedication to anything, we all have such days.
I don't think the stewards did anything wrong to their president’s former dogs that died, I guess they were never motivated to pay attention to them. Now the fear of being fired becomes a motivation, to ensure nothing happens to the dog. My question today is what exactly motivates you to be your best? What inspire you, you can't afford to live without drive, without zest and motivation. Being self-motivated allows you to charge your life, overcome obstacles, and achieve personal, professional and spiritual goals. It fosters a sense of purpose and empowers you to pursue your dreams, leading to greater happiness and fulfillment. Self-motivation also enhances productivity, resilience, and the ability to cope with stress. I dare you to step out to achieve results this week.
