“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John. 13:35.
John D. Rockefeller built the great Standard Oil empire. One day one of his executives made a two million dollar mistake. Word of the man’s enormous error quickly spread and finally one of the other executives decided to go and talk with his boss about it. As he approached the oil monarch’s desk, Rockefeller looked up from the piece of paper he was writing. “I guess you have heard about the two million dollar mistake our friend made,” he said abruptly. “Well I have been sitting here listing all of our friend’s good qualities and I’ve discovered that in the past he has earned for us many times the amount he lost today. His good points far outweigh this one human error. So I think we ought to forgive him, don’t you?”
There are times in life when God’s love for us doesn’t seem real or obvious. It seems out of reach. But the devil is completely aware that you are Christ’s beloved. That’s the reason he wants to come after you and me. Christ is shouting his love for us from the Cross, through the wonder of creation, and through the pages of Scripture so that we’ll know without a doubt that He loves us madly. Now, God doesn’t love us for our sakes alone, He loves us such that through us His love can be shown to others. We must ensure God’s love doesn’t stop in our lives.
God wants others to experience the piercing power of His love through our lives. There is no sin that is not forgivable, there is no attitude that cannot be corrected, all we need is to yield ourselves enough for men to see God through our ability to let go and let God. God himself is described in the Bible as love. Our text says through the expression of our unalloyed love will men come to the saving grace of Jesus, because we have become an expression of His love. Love forgives, love endures, love covers the multitude of wrongs. May we be found faithful in the expression of divine love.

Dear Abba Father, I thank you that there is no human experience that I might walk through where your love cannot reach me. If I climb the highest mountain you are there and yet if I find myself in the darkest valley of my life, you are there. Teach me today to love you more and to manifest Your love to men around me. Help me to indeed be engulfed in Your love enough for it to become my way of life and my blessedness in the name of Jesus, amen.
